Bowling Green and Union traded goals before the game eventually ended in a tie at 3-3.

Tommy Burke was solid in net, stopping 24 out of 27 shots. Union got on the board first at 9:52 of the first with a power play marker at 9:53 by Eli Lichtenwald. The Dutchmen doubled their lead at the end of the period as Matt Hatch scored his first marker of the season at 18:45.

Dan DeSalvo got Bowling Green on the board at 6:22 of the second period. Freshman Kevin Dufour picked up his first career point on the assist with Adam Berkle adding a secondary assist. The firsts for the freshman wouldn’t stop there as Pierre-Luc Mercier scored his first collegiate goal at 8:11 of the second with a setup by Mark Cooper.

Just as the Falcons had picked up momentum the Dutchman would add their second power play goal as Daniel Carr was able to get Union another lead. Bryce Williamson added a power player marker of his own with assists to Adam Berkle and Ralfs Freibergs.

The two teams skated a deadlocked third period and five minute OT before the game ended in a tie.
