New Conferences, Same Rivalry

Ohio State now plays in the newly formed hockey wing of the Big Ten Conference. The Falcons and Buckeyes have played very spirited contests in their histories with some famous and infamous moments defining the series. In 156 games the Falcons hold a 89-59-10 advantage. This is the first game of a separated home-and-home series. Bowling Green will travel to Columbus on 10/29/13 for the return game at Value City Arena.

Playing Without a Full Deck

Bowling Green had a disadvantage before they even boarded the buses when they went to New York this past weekend. Ryan Carpenter (Hand), Brent Tate (Chest), and Dajon Mingo (Academics/Team Rules) were unavailable to play in the series against Union College. Carpenter might see extended time away from the ice as he recovers from surgery and it’s too early to tell if Tate will be available for Tuesday’s game. Mingo is expected to be in the lineup against the Bucks.

Lucky Number 7,000

According to Tony Gaver of the Falcons are only four goals away from number 7,000 in program history. Read more about this milestone on Tony’s website.
