A Couple Honors From the Steel City

The Falcons took third place in the second annual Three Rivers Classic in Pittsburgh, PA. Bryce Williamson was recognized on the all-tournament team while goaltender Tomas Sholl was named the WCHA Rookie of the Week.

Flying Wounded

A couple Falcons are nursing injuries this week. Ryan Carpenter has begun skating and could possibly play in next weekend’s games against Alaska-Fairbanks. Carpenter has been out since the exhibition game against Wilfrid-Laurier with a broken thumb and foot. Andrew Wallace is doubtful for the Chargers series due to a “minor concussion” received during last Friday’s game against Boston College.

Scouting the Chargers

The young Huntsville squad has struggled to put together a consistent weekend this season. This past weekend the Chargers traveled to Madison, WI to face the #15 Badgers. After a 5-0 loss Friday Huntsville pushed back on Saturday night before eventually falling 3-2. UAH picked up their first win of the season on 12/7 as they knocked off the Falcons in Bowling Green.

Geof Morris and Michael Napier of UAHHockey.com answered some questions about the team earlier this season. You can read that interview here.
