Mark Friedman, a Toronto native who will come to Bowling Green this fall, was selected in the third round (86th overall) by the Philadelphia Flyers. The 185 pound, 5’10” defenseman spent the past two seasons in the USHL playing for the Waterloo Black Hawks. Through 115 games Friedman scored eighteen goals, 59 assists, and 74 PIMs.
Given that Friedman won’t turn 19 until his first season, he should see more than a couple years at Bowling Green. The undersized defenseman committed to the Falcons when he was only 14 years old and looks to have a good chance to be a top four defenseman for the Falcons.
