Falcons drop in both polls

Bowling Green dropped in both of this week’s national polls announced Monday.

In the U.S. College Hockey Online Top 20, the Falcons fell from 12th to 14th. They totaled 362 points this week, compared to 442 last week.

In the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Top 15, the Falcons dropped from 12th to 15th. They received 49 points, down from 102 last week.

BG is 4-2-1 overall and a 1-1 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association after a split at Alaska-Anchorage last weekend to begin league play. The Falcons were 2-0 winners on Sunday after a 4-2 loss Saturday.

The Falcons are back in action Friday and Saturday nights when they host Lake Superior (2-6, 0-2) in a WCHA series.
