Bowling Green remained 16th in this week’s U.S. College Hockey Top 20 announced Monday.

The Falcons received 223 points, compared to 301 last week.

In the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Top 15, the Falcons still were among the teams receiving votes. BG had seven points this week, down from 37 last week.

The Falcons have lost three of their last five games, including a split last weekend at Lake Superior in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association series. BG posted a 3-1 win in the series opener, but Lake Superior earned a 1-0 overtime win in the series finale.

BG is 13-6-5 overall and 9-3-4 in the league. The Falcons are second in the WCHA with 22 points, two behind first-place Minnesota State and three ahead of third-place Michigan Tech. All three teams have 12 games remaining.

Minnesota State is at Michigan Tech this weekend.

BG has just a single nonleague game this weekend, playing at Miami on Saturday. The RedHawks are 6-11-3 overall and 2-8-2 in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.

The game will be televised by Time Warner Cable Sports Channel, channel 1311.
