Game Preview: Western Michigan

The Falcons officially open their season Tuesday as they travel to the unfriendly confines of Lawson Ice Arena on the campus of Western Michigan University.

Falcons in the Polls

Bowling Green was selected to finish fourth in the WCHA preseason polls by both the media and coaches. The Falcons also received votes in the USCHO.com preseason top-20 poll.

Letourneau Lights it Up

Frederic Letourneau has gotten off to a quick start through the Falcons’ two exhibition games. The sophomore forward has two goals and two assists to begin the season. Letourneau looks to build on a 14 point season from last season (six goals, eight assists).

Previewing Western Michigan

The Broncos and Falcons are well acquainted, having played 144 times previously Bowling Green has struggled against Western Michigan recently, however, last winning against the Broncos January 18, 2013.

The Broncos split with Ferris State last weekend in a home-and-home series. They were picked to finish sixth in the NCHC.

But Wait, There’s More

Bowling Green will welcome Michigan State to the Slater Family Ice Arena Friday and Saturday in a home-and-home series. It is the first time the long-time rivals have faced each other since the 2012-2013 season.
