
Ryan Bednard started in net for the Falcons, stopping all 25 shots faced. Kris Carlson had 23 save on 26 shots faced.
First Period
Bowling Green opened the game’s scoring at 13:19 of the first period on the power play. Tim Theocharidis found Cam Wright on the back door, who sent a pass across the crease towards Lukas Craggs. The attempted shot was deflected and went airborne. But, Craggs still managed to get his blade on the puck and batted it past Carlson for his sixth goal of the season.
The Falcons extended their lead to 2-0 at 19:48 of the first period. Chris Pohlkamp took a pass from Sam Craggs and sent a shot on net. The rebound came to the front of the crease to Connor Ford, who buried the chance while falling down to pick up his fifth goal of the season.
Bowling Green had 12 shots on net in the first period while Alaska-Anchorage had seven chances.
Second Period
Connor Ford picked up his second goal of the game at 16:05 of the second period. Ford passed to Cam Wright in the corner, but Ford continued to the front of the net. Wright sent the puck back to Ford who scored, falling down again. The goal was Ford’s sixth of the season and was also assisted by Jacob Dalton.
Alaska-Anchorage had 10 shots in the middle frame while Bowling Green had six opportunities.
Third Period
Neither team found the net in the final period, sealing the 3-0 win for the Falcons.
The Seawolves had eight shots in the third period while the Falcons had seven.
With the win, the Falcons improve to 7-2-2, 2-1-1-1. The Seawolves fall to 1-6-1, 0-5-1-0. Bowling Green travels back home next weekend to welcome the Lake Superior Lakers.
