The WCHA released the composite schedule for every member institution Tuesday. The Falcons will play 28 league contests, seven nonconference games, and two exhibition matchups.

Bowling Green opens their season on October 6th as they’ll travel to Erie, Pennsylvania to play the Mercyhurst Lakers. The Lakers were the 2018 Atlantic Hockey regular season champions, accruing a record of 21-12-4. Home-and-home series with MAC-brethern Western Michigan, Robert Morris, and instate rival Ohio State round out Bowling Green’s non conference slate. The Buckeyes had a 26-10-5 record this past season, culminating in an appearance in the Frozen Four.

The Falcons’ 2018-2019 non conference opponents had a cumulative record of 80-61-14 during the 2017-2018 season.

BG will also play a pair of exhibition games; 11/21 against the United States National Team Development Program Under-18 squad and the Windsor Lancers on 12/30.

The Falcons will welcome Northern Michigan, Lake Superior, Minnesota State, Bemidji State, Ferris State, Alaska, and Alabama-Huntsville to the Slater Family Ice Arena this upcoming season for conference play. They’ll travel to Alaska-Anchorage, Alabama-Huntsville, Ferris State, Michigan Tech, Alaska, Northern Michigan, and Bemidji State for league action as well.

In addition to the schedule release, the Falcons also released season ticket information. That can be found on the athletic department’s website here. Single game information will be released at a later time.
